The thieves may be able to follow the design plans and produce a loom. But we are modifying and improving our looms every day … They do not have the expertise gained from the failures it took to produce the original… We need not be concerned. We need only continue as always, making our improvements.
– Kiichiro Toyoda, President of Toyota, 1941-1950
I think there is a world market for maybe five computers

There is no reason for any individual to have a computer in his home.

Since Amazon is a multinational company with many clients, how do a few of these clients essentially use Amazon’s Web Services to their benefit and what are the costs of doing so?
When looking at figure 4: Largest Companies by Market Capital in 2019, Microsoft and Amazon are fairly close in ranking. My question is: How would changing or reassessing Amazon Web Service [AWS] core competencies be able to differentiate them from Microsoft a step further and eventually surpass Microsoft in their ranking?
In our most recent chapter, we learned about and discussed core competencies. We were given a small bit about Amazon’s cloud service and how it benefits e-commerce retailers. Our question is, How have Amazon’s core competencies changed throughout the years regarding the cloud services?
What does AWS say its core competencies are, and how are they using these to address both opportunities and challenges it faces?
I read that Google Cloud has lower prices as well as higher speeds than other cloud services. What is Amazon Web Services doing right now that separates them from other bigger cloud services like Google or Microsoft. Do they have any specific plans to grow over the next couple of years?
In 2019 Google Cloud held 6% of the market share and has seen an 88% annual growth rate. While they are within the top four cloud computing services they lag behind Microsoft Azure and AWS in terms of market share by quite a bit. In your opinion do you think they will close the gap between themselves and AWS in the coming years?
In our case study it mentioned that Amazon Web Services has the most complete and technically advanced system. How big of a competitive edge does this give them over other clouds and why?
Based on amazon’s production and head start in the “cloud war” as well as their dominance and constant innovation, is there any way you can see amazon losing momentum or losing the lead they have on their competitors, if so what would that be, and who would be the competitor that poses the biggest threat to amazon as a cloud provider?
With the growth of technology, what are some areas or fields that Amazon Web Services are going to try and expand into within the upcoming years? What are the major concerns with expanding the computer clouding business and what are some potential issues Amazon Web Services could face throughout the expansion process?
How does Amazon look to provide a new innovative product or service in the coming years, that will set them above those competing forces within the "Big Tech" industry?
Is there a next big breakthrough in cloud services coming in the next five years? Cloud services have been evolving ever since they were introduced, but is there a new breakthrough that is in the works that could change how cloud services work or are available?
In regards to user’s privacy, what information collected is actually needed and used and with all of the data, how big of an actual impact does the collected data have on the development of the next generation cloud storage and other services provided to the end users?
Iceland has implemented a new policy that requires companies to evaluate and prove equal pay among men and women of the same job. Do you think America will implement a similar policy to that of Iceland? Why or why not?
